Day
1 Arrive Cochin International Airport. Meet,
assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel. The
Gateway to God’s own Country Kerala, Cochin (Kochi)
is the arguably the ideal starting point for exploring
the unfathomable diversity and beauty of Kerala, It
is also the Commercial and Industrial capital of the
state Kerala. Overnight at Cochin.
Day 2 Cochin
In the morning proceed for a half day city tour of Cochin
or Kochi. Places of interest are The Dutch Palace (Fridays
closed), Jewish Synagogue (Saturdays closed), St.Francis
Church, Dutch Cemetery, the Chinese fishing nets at
the entrance of Cochin Harbour, and Willingdon Island
- a manmade island made from materials dredged while
deepening Cochin port. In the evening visit a local
auditorium for an enchanting Kathakali Dance Show -
Kathakali has a unique combination of literature, music,
painting, acting and dance. . Dancers take various roles
in performances traditionally based on themes from Hindu
mythology, especially the two epics, the Ramayana and
the Mahabharata. Overnight at Cochin. |
Day
3 Thekkady In the morning, check out of your
hotel and drive to Thekkady (185kms/5hrs). Arrive and
check into your hotel. Thekkady-777 sq.km of lush green
tropical forests is the natural habitat of elephant,
bison, spotted deer, sambar, bear and many colorful
birds etc. Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 4 Thekkady
In the morning, proceed for an exciting boat ride in
Lake Periyar. Periyar sanctuary, the main attraction
of Thekkady, is one of the best sanctuaries in India
for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters.
Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Periyar to view animals
in their natural surroundings. Thereafter proceed for
a small Spice plantation Tour. Overnight in Thekkady. |
Day
5 Kumarakom This morning, proceed to Kumarakom
(130kms/4hrs). Arrive Kumarakom by noon and transfer
to your hotel. Kumarakom, a charming village on the
eastern bank of Vembanadu Lake surrounded by paddy fields,
is an ideal place for a backwater cruise. It is also
called as “The Venice of the East”. In the
afternoon, visit the bird sanctuary, an ornithologist's
paradise and a favourite haunt of migratory birds like
the siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Overnight
at Kumarakom.
Day 6 Kumarakom
After break fast check – out from the hotel and
we will embark on the traditional air conditioned deluxe
house boat for an over night trip. Enjoy the picturesque
network of lagoons, lakes, rivers, and canals that run
inland from the coast of Kerala, from Cochin to Kollam
(Quilon). The lush green palm-fringed landscape, diverse
wildlife, and houses and villages that line the backwaters
make a journey along these waterways seem like a journey
through another world. Fresh Indian food will be cooked
on board and will be served the chilled Tody (local
drink from coconut tree) Overnight on board. |
Day
7 Kovalam In the morning, drive to Kovalam
(165kms/5hrs) by car. Arrive Kovalam and check into
your hotel. Kovalam is India's most spectacular beach
resort, just 16 km from Trivandrum. The clear water
in Kovalam is ideal for swimming, surfing and skiing.
Facilities like Ayurvedic massage, yoga, water sports
etc are available here. Day would be free at leisure.

Day 8 Kovalam
In the morning, leave the hotel for a city tour of Trivandrum
which is half an hour away. Trivandrum, a sprawling
74 sq km city, is the capital of Kerala. The great variety
of lovely old colonial and traditional Kerala buildings
give Trivandrum a special ambience. The main attractions
are the Govt. Art Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, The
Zoological Garden, Padmanabhaswamy Temple (entry restricted),
Caudiyar Palace, Museum and Veli Tourist village. Return
to Kovalam in the evening. Overnight at Kovalam. |
Day 9 Overseas
This day, you will be transferred to Trivandrum International
Airport for flight to your onward destination. |

Day 1 Delhi Arrive
Indira Gandhi International Airport. Meet, assist at
the airport and transfer to your hotel. India's capital
& a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi
is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines
in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic
location was one of the prime reasons why successive
dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi
also reflects the legacy the British left behind. Overnight

Day
2 Agra This morning after breakfast, proceed
for a full day combined city tour of the old & modern
capital of India. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque
in India. Visit the massive Red Fort, Chandni Chowk
and Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.
Visit the Qutub Minar - a 72 meter high monument, and
Humayun’s Tomb built in mid 16th century. Also
visit the Lotus Temple. Drive past India Gate, the Presidents
House, Safdarjung’s Tomb & the Parliament.
After your sightseeing proceed to Agra (203 kms / 4hrs30mts),
Arrive Agra and check into your Hotel. |
Day
3 Agra This morning after breakfast proceed
for a half day tour of Agra visiting Taj Mahal(Friday
Closed). This beautiful monument was built by Shah Jahan
in the loving memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal.
Visit the Agra Fort where Shah Jahan spent last days
of his life watching the Taj Mahal. Also visit the mausoleum,
Itmad-ud-daulah, which resembles a silver jewel box.

Day
4 Jaipur This morning after breakfast drive
to Jaipur (232 kms/5hrs/30 mts) via Fatehpur Sikri which
literally means “The City of Victory”. This
sandstone city was built by Emperor Akbar to commemorate
the birth of his son and was abandoned only after 16
years due to scarcity of water. Arrive Jaipur and check
into your Hotel. Jaipur is the gateway to the magnificent
and vibrant state of Rajasthan. Evening take a stroll
in the markets of Jaipur for the traditional dresses
and shoes, curio shops, blue pottery etc. Overnight
at Jaipur.
Day 5 Jaipur This
morning after breakfast proceed to Amber Fort which
is located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur.
The fort is built with white marble and red sandstone.
Thereafter proceed for a half day tour of the “Pink
City”, visiting the Maharaja's Palace which is
known as “The City Palace” and now houses
a museum containing rare manuscripts. Also visit Jantar
Mantar the astronomical observatory built by Jai Singh,
and drive past Hawa Mahal – the palace of winds,
its five-storey façade decked with no less than
593 finely screened windows and balconies. Also visit
the Albert Hall Museum. Overnight at Jaipur. |
Day 6 Delhi This
morning after breakfast drive back to Delhi (252 kms
/ 5hrs30mts) and check into your Hotel. Rest of the
day at leisure for independent activities. Overnight
at Delhi. |
Day 7 Overseas Today
you will be transferred to the international airport
to board the flight for your onward destination. |
